Four following poems regarding this book:
SISTERS IN CHARGE
MIAH’S PERSPECTIVE
If I were in charge of the world
I’d make imagination and fantasies limitless.
encourage people to express themselves
That way, no one would be the same.
If I were in charge of the world
There’d be more forests and nature to explore
More animals would be welcome in our world
It is their planet too.
If I were in charge of the world
You wouldn’t have to fear about fitting in.
You wouldn’t need to worry about the poor animals
You wouldn’t concern for Global Warming.
Or all of the pollution in oceans.
If I were in charge of the world
LILAH’S PERSPECTIVE
If I were in charge of the world
I’d ban any source of weapon.
Everyone will be treated equally, despite their race.
No threats will occur, not on my watch.
If I were in charge of the world
There’d be more books to read.
and more homework, so we can learn.
Knowledge is key.
If I were in charge of the world
You wouldn’t feel stupid
You wouldn’t encourage any violence
You wouldn’t be racially discriminated
Or failing about your education!
If I were in charge of the world.
I WANT
I want to see people living happily,
Among the ups and downs in life and its anomaly.
I want racial discriminations to end,
So, people of all races can be friends.
I want the world to see what we humans do wrong,
before are actions come singing to us through a catchy song.
I want people to see me for who I am,
Not as a genius or a writer, but for the person inside of me, like Uncle Sam.
I want the United States to stop bragging about being great,
For all countries are important, despite their economic or racial state.
I want the coronavirus cure to be found,
That way we can remain in pace and relax, for we are safe and sound.
I want justice for all,
Even if that is one of the United States’ mottos,
I want to give out the right call.
HOLD ON AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
Hold on to the pain that stings even worse than a bee
Even if it guarantees us to suffer and resent with grief
Hold on to hope and prayers, begging God to end the virus.
Even if people are dying due to illness.
Hold on to love in the depths of our hearts.
Even if hate and discrimination is on the rise.
Hold on to the good of life.
Even if the darkness is causing us to live with strife.
Hold on to all that is good
Even if others have given up.
