Bakhtawar Parvez, a seventh-grade student at Bonham Middle School, takens a deep breath as she realizes she wins the 2019-20 Potter County Spelling Bee with the word “PYROTECHNIC”, on Thursday afternoon.
More than 50 stellar spellers took the stage for the Potter County Spelling Bee, hosted by Amarillo ISD and sponsored by Happy State Bank. Bonham Middle School’s Bakhtawar Parvez is the winning spell-ebrity, correctly spelling the word “pyrotechnic.” She will compete in the regional spelling bee on March 21.
